Forest Hill, north of Canterbury Rd might as well be Blackburn. Although, THE original Forest Hill (The Hill) around Jean-Lake Reserve which was open forest/bush prior to development in the 1980’s. Jean-Lake reserve is the remaining forest/bush at the elevation, the (Forest) Hill where children would spend holidays in days gone by. Walk to the Lake, Blackburn Station Village and Forest Hill Chase, plenty of transport. Low density single dwellings due to restrictive development to preserve Blackburn Lake Sanctuary and amenities, parks and open space. Highly valued and very hard to find properties in this area. Three train stations (Nunawading, Blackburn, Laburnum) within walking/riding distance. Buses to various destinations within a street or two.
