Hurlstone Park

"Great place to live"

I currently live here, and it's got it all. Parklands, river walks, inner west vibe and proximity to the city (15-20 mins leisurely drive to central, same by rail). Locals are close knit and know one another, which is really a plus considering its only 9km to the Sydney CBD. The local shops, rail station and extensive parkland make it a great place to buy, but I would say that it would be better to get in sooner rather than later - this place is really gentrifying, with smart buyers from neighbouring marrickville, Dullwich Hill and Ashfield seeing it as the last affordable "lifestyle suburb" in the inner west (most blocks are 500 sqm + which is big for the region).
The best part of days end after the 20 min train ride home from the city, is getting straight down to the river walk with the dogs - you'd never know the city is such a short distance away, as you wak through the beautiful nature reserves.
