Dowerin is a 90 minute drive from Midland, just 70 kms north east of Northam. If living in the country is your desire, then Dowerin could be the place for you. The Northam District High School, caters for children from K - year 10. A doctor visits once a week, or you can make the 15 minute journey to Goomalling where there is a Doctor and a hospital with a 24 hour emergency facility. Dowerin is situated on the Pioneer Pathway, an alternative quieter route to Kalgoorlie than the Great Eastern Highway. It is also the start of the North East Wheatbelt, leading to small, friendly country towns.
