Blackwood

"Blackwood Living Puts all the Pieces in Place"

The wide range of amenities and facilities available to local residents is one of the many reasons that Blackwood is such a desirable place to live. Whether you want to relax, work, play or shop - Blackwood has got the lot.
There are a full range of financial and banking facilities and large modern shopping centres offering good parking and plenty of specialist shops.
Education facilities can be a key consideration and Blackwood is well served with excellent public primary and high schools, Unisia Flinders University and easy access to Adelaide's premier private schools including St John's Grammar School.
A considerable number of specialty clubs operate in Blackwood including art and craft clubs, service clubs, and there is an active RSL Club and public library.
Befitting the healthy Hills environment there are many excellent sports amenities close to hand. Blackwood Football Club has a number of competitive junior and senior teams and boasts one of the largest clubrooms in the State. There are a number of well established cricket clubs along with netball, soccer and tennis.
Golfers are well served with a public course nestled among the trees of the Belair National Park while private golfers can indulge themselves on the fantastic fairways of the up to date Blackwood Golf Club.
If you care to swing the hips rather than a golf club there's always the Blackwood Fitness Centre with its gym, poll and many varied fitness classes while the Blackwood Community Recreation Centre offers gymnastics, basketball, volleyball badminton - the list goes on and on.
After all that exercise you can take a break at one of the many coffee shops in the area or for something more substantial there are a host of restaurants offering a bewildering array of world cuisine. A relaxing drink might not go astray either, and at the Belair Hotel or Duck Inn can cater for that while offering plenty of hills ambience
