"Greenwood Drive is like living on Bell Street"
Bundoora is full of hoons and students, at night you can expect vandalism, drunkenness and cars doing burnouts at most intersections and roundabouts. Greenwood Drive would be the absolute worst street in Bundoora, its like living on Bell Street, carries a lot of traffic, A LOT !!!!
Great for
- Public transport
Not great for
- Insane amout of traffic and hoon drivers
- Busy plenty road toomuch traffic on peak hours
- Far from City
Who lives here?
- Students
Not utter rubbish, but a little exaggerated. I've been living here for the last two years and it's not ideal. The traffic isn't too bad, honestly, but you can expect drunkeness, firecrackers, loud music, 'hooning' and such regularly. My mailbox gets vandalized often, to the point where I have stopped asking my landlord to replace it because it's a waste of money to do so. This is close to the sports oval / tennis clubs, so roughly around the middle area. The Watsonia end of the street is a lot more quiet, seemingly, as is the Plenty Rd side (minus the noise from Plenty Rd traffic).
Not the nicest street to live in, honestly. I plan on moving as soon as able. But I'd personally give it 3 stars, not 1. There are much worse streets out there to live on.
A young girl's life was taken there by a rapist aboriginal man. Nothing more can be said about the suburb.
Talk about hyperbole. Bell street ... are you kidding??? "Expect" vandalism and drunkenness, burnouts at "most" intersections and roundabouts, Greenwood carries "A LOT !!!!" of traffic ... what utter rubbish. As for being a long way from the city; this may be true if you're used to living in Carlton, but you should try getting into town from urban growth areas like Mernda or Pakenham!
