Queenstown was the only town I could afford to buy a house without a mortgage, there are heaps of renovation rescue oppotunities here for us mainlanders and since purchasing my property I have found ways to get around being Isolated from Hardware, shopping etc. Plenty of stores will organise deliveries for you and Zeehan hardware will deliver for free every Friday. Work has never been a problem if your happy to give anything a go. I wish the council here would give the derelick houses away to people that would love to restore or rebuild cause I'd take a couple more. I've also come from a place where rain was presious and rain water tanks were a must, but here its in abundance. And the lush Manfern filled gardens get a free watering. Stunning location and Mountain views to die for. I feel very lucky to be here and very glad to be a home owner in Queenstown.
