Having lived in St.Kilda Melbourne and Soho London, the Perth equivalent has to be Subiaco. Whilst it's on a much smaller scale, Subiaco is a thriving community mix of rich, poor, students, artists, geniune bohemians and wannabes. It has unbeatable access to great parks, cafes, galleries, theatres, shopping etc. 10mins to the pristine Indian Ocean, 5mins to the CBD..you can't go wrong!
