We only moved here from Sydney last December. Best decision we have ever made! So close to the most beautiful deep sandy beach in TNQ. With beautiful Goodwood Park & loads of brilliantly coloured butterflies and wonderful birdlife. Lovely friendly neighbours and local shopkeepers that treat you as a friend. The streets are quiet and safe. It's only 10 minutes drive to the huge Smithfield Shopping Centre & 5 minutes to the Campus Shopping Village. Both have excellent doctors and dentists & there are plenty of nearby vets for your pet. The Boating Club is a great place to relax in a spectacular setting & offers lovely food at fair prices. Also there is a lovely restaurant in Deauville Close in a spectacular garden setting that will make you think you are in Bali at night! You can also get great sit down meals and good take away right in the Yorkey Knob Shopping Centre. There's snacks and great hamburgers right at the beach as well. It's just a 15 minute pretty drive to the CBD & you can shop your heart out at Cairns Central shops. We came here for holidays for 6 years before taking the big plunge and moving all the way from Sydney & we couldn't have asked for more.
