Schools can't cope and infrustucture is ailing, lack of police station causing a dangerous little enclave of crime, graffiti a nightmare! and a proposed new housing estate tagged on to cause even more grief. Beachside cafe has closed and BMX park is gone, dirty tatty foreshore.

I find the area strongly overpopulated with English people! The children of the newly arrived residents seem to have caused the issues that PommyAussie has highlighted!
That's slightly unfair to brand all English kids as thugs, do you not think its the parents job to install respect and manners? I know I do I also know that I teach my English children to be respectful of all people no matter where they are from.
Nunya, you are an absolute idiot! It has nothing to do with English kids at all, it is down to the parents. I think you should stop branding English people as the issue as, i have witnessed a lot more Australians and Aboriginals causing more trouble a lot more often.
Hardly any real crime compared to most other suburbs. Very little graffiti around. Foreshore is beautiful. PommyAussie has No idea what theyre talking about.

Starting to really take shape. We really need a pub (pretty pretty please) and I believe the shopping centre is on its way, hopefully very soon. A train station is a must for all the new housing, even if one happens in Karnup, Lakelands should get one too.

Brand new train station and Lakelands Tavern now open.
Having a police station will not bring down crime. A strong neighbourhood of appreciation and awareness will always outway the criminals. Having lived in the area for many years the changes that have been made have been for making a safer community for the future.
