"Has its many flaws but huge living potential"
I've come from the inner blue chip suburbs of Melbourne, grown up there my whole life and have only just bought my first property in Narre Warren obviously because of it's affordability. What i take from this so far is that it's a great "kick-start" area if you have visions of one day moving closer in or to a more reputable area. We are right near fountain Gate so a massive tick to amenities - everything we need is at our feet! Traffic within the suburb is quite a problem i find. Princess Hwy and Cranbourne-Narre Warren Roads are the only main arterial roads that go through the suburb so lots of built up traffic. Pointing out hoons as mentioned from other posts is a big problem. I constantly hear cars roaring up and down streets day and night although luckily my street isn't affected. Keep in mind guys that this is now a booming suburb. 2 years ago (2015/16) the median value for the 3 br house was around the mid 400K range, now you're looking at north of 600K so great capital growth especially for first home buyers wanting to get in the market and potentially sell at a higher price sooner than later. For those of you looking at your first home be quick as you'll have stamp duty savings on any purchase under 600K, you won't pay a cent on stamp duty. In response to the posts about bogans and agro neighbors etc, i would definitely agree with the bogan statement. Lot's of loud and obnoxious people around this area that don't have any sense for the community but then again it does depend on where you're located. This goes back to my point about hoons... These bogans are exactly that! Cruising around in their clapped out $500 VN Commodores thinking that they drive a Bentley. If you're fortunate enough to be situated in a tucked away quiet street you may avoid this but otherwise it's something you can' avoid. as a plus my neighbors are just perfect, polite, kind and welcoming. They came around a knocked on my door when i moved in for a quick chat and let me know about the area and street even told if i needed to use their bin during renos i could! As a rule of thumb it doesn't matter where you buy or rent always be vigilant of your surrounds, types of people in your street and your neighbors. You might not think it but this makes a world of difference when you end up living there.
