"Nothing cool about Officer"

No cafes, no shopping centres, no malls. Dry and dead suburb. One gets feeling of loneliness easily. Doesn't feel to be suburban part of Melbourne. More like a rural Victoria. No road for pedestrians to train station. Officer south road abruptly terminates at station. Lot of construction activities have created pollution and suspended particles in air. Trades drive rough on the roads. Telecom and network issues. None of the telecommunications providers Telstra, Vodafone and Optus have paid enough attention to provide a good experience to their customers. Opticomm keeps dropping the internet. Rude people on local Facebook groups. Admin of one of the Facebook groups think she has all the powers in the world and she keeps on deleting the messages on the groups. Not happy with my decision to buy a home here. Not sure if I will get a good price of I want to sell it off and move to some better suburb.

Hi, my name is Simone really sorry to hear about your bad experience in Officer so far.
Officer is one of our areas that our Real Estate agency specializes in and we have many happy clients that have moved into the area however, I understand where youre coming from and totally agree that it has rural flavor and distinct lack of services and facilities at this point of time.
Good news is there are a lot of people that are always looking to move into the area, so properties are always in demand.
If you decide its not for you and you would like to potentially move on, please let us know we would be more than happy to give you some free advice and look at various options with you. Here is my email [email protected]
Kind regards, Simone Perrin

It is a great place, there is a good community spirit, there are issues with some tenants, managing agents should take responsibility of putting a bad tenant.

And here's me hoping, Officer doesn't loose it's rural feel, each to their own l guess. Arena, which happens to be a shopping centre, unless you're talking up market, you know the ones that have spotlight. But it does have cafe, just a couple off the top of my head in Officer, would be high horse and blondies (think that's few, try Bayswater North)

Unless you're looking for an upmarket shopping centre, that has shops like Spotlight, arena is a shopping Centre, high horse and blondis are just two cafes, plus a few in arena
Crossing cardinia road, you'll find a few more coffee shops. I know it's not many, but you should look at Bayswater North, Bunnings sausages was where you went on a date
