"Lived in Cranbourne for years"
Cranbourne is great for families with kids, there are so many schools, primary and secondary and loads of parks and ovals. It's very geared towards a family who enjoys sport with the leisure centre, casey fields, hockey, soccer, new aquatic centre, horse and dog races and even a few golf courses.
There's a lot of local shopping centres popping up even in the middle of the estates, so getting food for the evening meal is always easy and hassle free. Cranbourne also has the larger Centro Shopping centre with many shops including coles, k-mart and woolworths, best and less and several surf shops.
A lot of the houses are small and low-income earning. Most of the houses that were built years ago are now rental properties with rowdy tennants and higher crime rates.
Newer estates aren't really experiencing this and are generally occupied by older couples and retirees as the house sizes are larger and more expensive than in older areas.
Large overhead powerlines run through Cranbourne.
Safer than Noble Park, Dandenong, Doveton... But not as nice as Berwick and Pakenham. In the middle.
