Homebush Bay
Editors Choice

"Homebush Bay, also now known as Wentworth Point (trying to sound upmarket)"

It feels safe and pleasant walking around this area. You will find a fair amount of joggers & cyclists taking advantage of the nearby tracks. The blocks of units are all recently built. I believe the one developer is in control of the development of this suburb with all the good and bad that this brings.

Traffic: Traffic in the local area is pretty minimal. You will however find cars parked anywhere there is a kerb if you are near 'The Crescent' area, happily ignoring the do not park here markers. Being so close to ANZ stadium, you may find getting in or out of the suburb more painful at special event times.

Internet / Landline: Your choice is limited to 'homelinx.com.au', there are no access to the telstra exchange in this suburb. Forget about iinet/internode,etc you use the local humble ISP homelinx.. or noone.

Shopping: I strongly suggest you have access to a car. Newington village is a short drive away (but quite a decent walk). Rhodes is another similar option. The options are good if you can drive, not so great if you cant.

The views of the water are pretty and green areas have been kept. But I'd keep well out of the Parramatta River, it isnt particularly clean/healthy. Nice to look at though.
