Redlander

Our family of 5, with three young kids, have lived in Redland Bay for 5 years. Prior to this, we were living in an inner-city Brisbane suburb.

To put it simply, Redland Bay is a paradise for our family. We're far away enough from the hustle and bustle, but it's still only a 35 minute drive to Brisbane CBD if we ever need to get there. We're also about 45 minutes from the Gold Coast, so it's not too far away from those lovely beaches. The bay breezes on warm summer days are amazing and you feel like you live in a small village when you visit the local shops and are greeted by the happy, friendly staff.

There are some lovely parks around for the kids and we've recently heard that the park on the foreshore will be getting renovated and updated, so that'll be great when it's done.

Neighbours are friendly and helpful, without being intrusive - privacy is always respected. In the last 5 years, we haven't experienced any issues with hoons or crime and it's nice to walk around your suburb and see the pride that people take in keeping their gardens and homes looking fantastic.

We'll stay here until the kids are grown-up and, even after then, we'll probably still hang around. It's just a peaceful, clean, safe and gorgeous area to live in!
