Southport

"Suburb with it all... Southport"

If you want it all, look no further than Southport. You do not need a car - everything a family needs is at the fingertips; medical, shopping, cafes, restaurants, parks, swimming, and sporting clubs (tennis, lawn bowls, croquet, rugby). Southport currently has three main shopping centres Australia Fair, Southport Park and "The Brickworks"; with more smaller shopping centres in planning.

Good cafes and restaurants are readily found. "The Brickworks" at Ferry Road has lovely upmarket groceries, homeware stores, gift shops, galleries and cafes. Options include Seafood, Teppanyaki, Yum-cha, Chinese, Indian, Jamaican, Korean, Japanese, Italian, African, Thai, Asian, and six pubs.

Southport has the best park on the Gold Coast; right on the Broadwater including children's rock pools, large play equipment, clean barbecues, free family events, farmers markets, secured swimming lagoon, pier and cafe. If your not lazy, you can walk to surf, Main Beach and Marina Mirage also.

Hosting parts of the 2018 Commonwealth Games; Southport is currently undergoing vast refurbishment and building projects. Southport will soon boast; rapid transit system (from Helensvale Station to Broadbeach), new aquatic centre, new Gold Coast University Hospital, new Athletes Village, redeveloped China Town area,
New construction and redevelopment is good for investment purposes, and Southport has plenty.

Public transport is exceptional, you can get a bus just about anywhere on the coast from Southport.

Education facilities are also great with a good mix and choice of public and private schools for children. Childcare is readily available throughout the suburb. Tertiary options include The Gold Coast Institute of TAFE (GCIT), Griffith University Gold Coast campus.

Medical facilities are readily available, two of the major hospitals on the Gold Coast - Allamanda Private and Gold Coast Hospital. There are numerous doctors' surgeries including an after-hours surgery opposite the Gold Coast Hospital.

Also close is major attraction Seaworld, The Spit, Main Beach, Surfers Paradise and all Theme Parks.
