"Nice parks, the brook is cool and close to shops and transport"
I moved here after ten years of living very inner city (i.e. West End, Highgate Hill Greenslopes) I was tentative at first but after 2.5 years here I really like the place. Weekend are great as we can drive to the Ironbark Gully bushland to walk the dog and mountain bike - it’s only five minutes drive away. Samford is under 15 minutes and we often go for a spin out that way on the weekend. I can drive to multiple shops (Coles, Woolies and Aldi) in five minutes. Being so close to the train is great, it’s reliable and much better than the bus! A new airport direct bus is starting up in July - from Brookside shopping centre to the airport - pretty handy! We usually take the train to work - however on the occasions that we drive it’s a relatively quick trip - especially if you can use the T2 lane. The suburb is old, however more young couples are moving in and renovating houses, planting tress etc. I think in five to ten it’ll be a great place for young families.
