Murarrie

"Great place to live with lots of potential"

I moved here 2 years ago from Sydney and love it. We bought a place in the old part of Murarrie- bargain; big block of land and lots of renovation potential. Planes are not too bad on this side of Murarrie. You can hardly hear them to be honest. Morningside has much worse plane traffic than Murarrie.
Murarrie is 5 min drive to bulimba's Oxford street, 10 min to Manly and New East village development ( restaurants, hotel, shops) will lift this area up within a year or 2 so hurry up if you don't wanna miss out. East village will be walking distance from here.

Great for

  • Leafy suburb
  • Big blocks of land
  • Walking distance to the train
  • Lots of Shops & Cafes Nearby

Not great for

  • Old houses - need renovations

Who lives here?

  • Families with kids

I moved to Murarrie from Camp Hill and must say I prefer Murarrie. Yes there is a bit of train noise if you are too close to the tracks "we can hear them sometimes"
but the location is so handy for shopping, local gym, bulimba cafes, Airport runs and jumping onto the highway to go either North or South.
The best thing is the houses are so much cheaper than Camp Hill saved adleast $150,000 on what a similar home would cost in my old area.
Its actually a friendly suburb with real community spirit.

Hi, We are thinking to buy in old part of Murarrie. Is it safe enough for the family.

As safe as anywhere around this southside area....crime is on the rise throughout brisbane so invest in security
