Every days a holiday in Redland Bay! It is a fabulous lay back lifestyle without the hassle of traffic, but enjoys a cosmopolitan feel. Big things are planned for Redland Bay too in the future with our local village expanding and the heritage listed Hotel overlooking the blue waters of Moreton Bay is just the place to kick back and listen to a band on a Sunday afternoon. We have lived in the area for 12 years, originally at Victoria Point, but the homes are generally older and we wanted something new. Years ago, Redland Bay was a sleepy semi rural place for retirees. Everyone bought produce direct from the local farmers. We where famous for strawberries from our rich red volcanic earth. Today, it is a very different place. With the aqua waters and silver sands of countless islands just a 20 miniute ferry ride away, lifestyle is what it is all about. We have great shopping complexes just a few minuites away, with Kmart, Bunnings, Cinema's, and a huge Restraunt precinct around the lake. Fishing, boating and shopping are everyone's pass times. There are plenty of state and private colleges for the kids and lots of parks. The average size building block is over 600m2 too which gives everyone room to play. There are also many lifestyle complexes for retirees as well. Some of these are right on Thompsons Beach. So saddle up friends, and come to where the livin is easy!
