I moved to Trinity Beach 3 years ago and absolutely loved it. I first lived in a rental townhouse for six months to see how it was, and loved it so much that I bought a house with my wife to start our family. It is a part of Cairns without all of the tourism hype, and full of genuine locals who say g'day and have a chat with you whenever you may meet. It has the best beach in Cairns, and the tourists it does have are just as happy to relax and mingle with the locals without any problem. All restraunteurs in the area are friendly and value the local business, and there is no need for a car once you are here as you can walk everywhere. Which other non-touristy beachside community has 7 different cafe's / restaurants, a pub and bottleshop right on the beach, IGA and primary school, kindergaten? I may be biased now but I love it, because it reminds me of the relaxed community that I grew up in and now want to raise my kids in.
