I originally left a glowing review of Cairnlea years ago, but unfortunately have had to now edit my review as my opinion and the area has grossly changed. Cairnlea used to be a lovely place to live. Not so anymore. The years are taking its toll on the place which once used to be lovingly cared for by not only the residents, but Brimbank council. Now, properties are becoming run down & unkempt, and Council take weeks and weeks to remove weeds and mow overgrown grass (and haphazardly when they do). Parks are neglected. Dumped rubbish occurs regularly around the area. Crime has also increased significantly in the area. I was forced to sell up & move after an attempted home invasion & then break in at my property with thousands of $ of property stolen. Security cams & doors did nothing to deter these crooks. I’ve also had cars broken into, plants, pots & solar lights stolen from my front yard & property taken from my garage while I was home. After 14 years of residing in Cairnlea, enough was enough. Never ever again!
