Daw Park

"Up and coming!"

Owned a home in Daw Park now for about 2.5yrs. Just in this time I've seen the suburb really start to improve. Much more young families buying as the older generation moves on (eg. both our neighbors).Lot's of placed being renovated and extended and streetscape being improved...

We're nestled in between Colonel Light Gdns and Clarence Gardens and for us was great valuet; affordable, well located and great potential growth. Really close to Goodwood Rd shops (Foodland, Chem King, Fish Chips etc) but also really close to Castle Plaza which is just about to be redeveloped. Good childcare and schools close by too.

Can't really say anything bad about the suburb really. There is perhaps a few units in the suburb but Mitcham Council has now changed the zoning regs for the area to much stricter residential...

Great for

  • Close to Castle Plaza redevelopment
  • Shops, transport, close to everything in general.
  • Good quality schools and child care close by
  • Great cafes, specialty shops and supermarkets
  • Next door to prestigious suburbs

Not great for

  • Houses can be quite old and established - but can be renovated

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Families with kids
