Port Macquarie

"I love Port Macquarie"

We moved here at the start of 2014. The fishing, crabbing is great, not to hot in summer and not to cold in winter, really nice beaches, good sporting facilities. It's very busy with school holidays and even busier at Xmas. If you are considering moving here make sure you have a job here or are in a needed profession, it's the old saying it's not what you no it's who you no. Iv never been out of work in my life but I was nearly 4 months without work so all the savings were gone by then. There are lots of things to do around the place just depends on what you like. Lake Cathie a 10 min drive from port is an unreal family spot. Don't go out much here but there is some really good taverns and pubs. The taverns are more of a working mans place(men just knocking off work). Over all it's a cracker of a place just make sure you have work before you move here.
