Brighton

"Hidden gem"

Brighton is still largely undiscovered, with a predominance of neat 1960's cottages on 650 to 750 sqm blocks.
It has retained a country town feel in that people still say hello in the street and shopkeepers want to know you. The local real estate agents say that, while people do want to buy here, the current residents don't want to leave.
It is great for families with good schools, many parks, the waterfront with sheltered sandy coves (great for little kids to paddle), and the wetlands and lagoons that are perfect for walking or cycling.
There is very easy access to the M1, and a good train service from Sandgate village. In the adjoining suburbs there is a very active cafe/restaurant scene with lots of live music.

Who lives here?

  • Families with kids
