View Street

"A Wonderful Street."

View street St Albans is very multicultural, Arabs, Europeans, Asians, Maori, Australians all live together and there are no problems. Neighbours know each other and are friendly. The street is close to all needed services, restaurants, take away, schools, medical facilities, public transport etc. There is no need for a car if you live on View Street. The street is clean and all residents have driveways for their vehicles but it can become congested at times with off street parking during work hours. There are tennis courts for hire, a huge football oval with BBQ facilities, modern children's playground and brand new community centre within walking distance to the street - across the road from it to be exact. Overall a Great Street to live in.

Percy Street

"Dirty Percy Street"

Percy Street is constantly full of rubbish. The street has stand alone dwellings but a considerable amount of high density flat housing hundreds of people. It is similar to housing commission. The nature strips usually full of rubbish near these apartment blocks. garbage everywhere, furniture, mattresses, cardboard boxes and bags of rubbish dumped in the alley way near the high density housing. It is a shame as if it were to be kept clean, neat the street is fine, it has public tennis courts, scout hall, within walking distance to doctor, dentist, physio, high school, child care, public transport, markets, supermarkets etc. Needs to be cleaned up., monitored and CCTV installed to combat the constant filth.
