North Melbourne

"Not your typical inner city suburb"

North Melbourne presents another element of inner city living as opposed to your typical inner suburbs. For example, given that it borderlines a multi-hospital precinct along Flemington rd in Parkville to the north, borderlines Queen Victoria Market along Victoria st in West Melbourne to it's south. And University of Melbourne 1km to it's north-east, and finally 1.5 km to the south east is the Central business district, no other inner city suburb is wedged between that much infrastructure.

Great for

  • Capital growth
  • Excellent public transport
  • Good value for money for a suburb so close to the CBD
  • Heritage buildings, park access, eclectic shopping and dining
  • Proximity to CBD and tertiary institutes
  • University High School catchment
  • Close to the Queen Victoria Markets.

Not great for

  • Peak hour traffic
