The locals know it - Toowong is a prestige Brisbane suburb. Close to the city and with everything you need, good public transport, shopping, schools (public and private), short distance to the University of Queensland. Also near to the excellent Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, though the Toowong Shopping Centre is excellent in its own right. I have lived in Brisbane nearly all my life and Toowong absolutely stands out. One of my favourite places on Toowongs doorstep is the wonderful Mt Cootha. Walking trails, road cycling, fully developed mountain biking trails and an amazing view of the city make it a joy to reach the top. The locals will tell you, Mt Cootha is like natures own gymnasium!
