Frys Road

"It may be remote but you are never isolated with friendly neighbours and an active community."

Frys Road Gellibrand is a nice mix of weekenders, lifestylers and farmers who keep an eye out for each other but also respect privacy. There is advice nearby if you need it and a friendly helping hand. The neighbours even recognise your cows and will either return them or let you know where they're grazing.
The Gellibrand township is 5 minutes away where there is a well-stocked shop and cafe boasting possibly the best coffee in the Otways. Plus the local shop is licensed just in case you need an afternoon tipple or takeaway. The Gellibrand Community House maintains an active involvement with the community offering many activities and courses and the opportunity to socialise with the locals.
Colac offers all your shopping needs you would expect in a thriving country town: Coles, Target, Bunnings, Woolworths, Supercheap...
Brae, with its Michelin Hat is within 20 minutes drive, the winery only ten minutes.
Frys Road is also conveniently located close to the Great Ocean Road with Lorne, Apollo Bay and Johanna Beach, an easy scenic drive away through the magnificent Otway Ranges. The coastline here offers swimming, surfing, kite boarding and beautiful stretches of golden sand beach, and also plenty of rivers to bathe in.
For the more energetic there is the Old Beechy Rail Trail near the end of Frys Road which you can walk or cycle.
