We moved to Warragul 5 months ago because it looked like such a nice place to live but we are already looking to move away from here. When we originally moved here we were warned by a few other families planning on exiting Warragul (also within months of being here), to move to Drouin.
We were warned about Warragul’s town area due to most of the elderly being pretty horrible to be around.
The majority of people that live here are elderly, but I originally thought that it meant it would be a lovely, quiet, easygoing place to raise a family. But they were right. It’s not a lovely, easygoing place. Sure it’s quiet though.

Most of the elderly here are simply vulgar, nasty, rude and very bitter human beings. I have never encountered so many horrible people in one suburb.
They are not a good example to children at all. They have no manners or etiquette, they’re very self entitled, they’re not polite or even mildly pleasant here. It’s pretty hard trying to teach your kids these values whilst they are surrounded by people that do the opposite. It’s not every now and then, it’s everyday if we go into town. If there are nice people, I have not met any and I’ve been here for 5months. I still say “most of them” to give others the of the doubt.

If you are younger than their generation, if you’re tattooed or anything they “disapprove” most of them have a very strange sense of entitlement to tell you or they say it to each other so you can hear it. They complain a lot about the generations younger than them “getting worse every year” as they behave the exact same way they claim the younger generations do.

Most of them are rude to children even if they are well behaved with the manners and etiquette that they themselves lack. It’s actually astounding how they behave.

Our 8yr old little girl has just above the shoulder length hair that happens to be curly. Thanks to this “woke” stuff going around we have had 6 grown men and 2 women bully her and make fun of her because they have assumed she’s a boy in girls clothing!! She’s 8! Girls can’t have shorter hair here either!?
At one point I have had to say “she was born with a va*ina” just so one man in particular would leave her alone!

We’ve stopped going out for dinner here, we have stopped supporting any business here at all just to avoid going into town now.
Awful place. We can not wait to leave here and go somewhere nice to live.
