I still can not get over the fact you can not go down the street with out hearing someone using obscenities in there general conversation. The rentals and house prices for sale are well over priced compared to other towns nearby like Orange, Blayney and Young. Cowra also has an unusually high suicide rate. It's been stated by council that they are aiming for a retirement village so if you are career oriented or you want your kids to have a future then look else where. Having lived over most of Australia at different times in my life I can honestly say Cowra would be the most negative town I've ever had the misfortune to live in. Unemployment rate is double nearby towns. In all honesty living in Cowra is like serving jail time. I can understand why the kids here commit suicide. Also you can't submit a resume without someone wanting to know your family history. If you're not related to someone their great-grandparents inbred with a 100 years ago with then forget it. Nepotism and cronyism is alive and well in Cowra. Only rated one star because I couldn't go any lower.
