Bacchus Marsh

"Small town exploded in population, but no infrastructure to support"

I have lived in Bacchus Marsh for many years and it has exploded in population but no increase has been made in infrastructure to support this growth. Traffic is terrible. In desperate need of better secondary schooling. Air quality is poor due to crop spraying and smoke from fires in winter. Pollutants get trapped in the valley. Hardly any walking tracks or recreation.

Great for

  • Affordable housing
  • Great private school

Not great for

  • Polluted by crop spraying
  • Lack of recreation and walking tracks
  • Increase in drug culture and crime
  • Needs another High School
  • The roads are very busy around school start and finish times

Who lives here?

  • Retirees

I absolutely agree with you a hundred percent . I have moved but did live in the marsh for twenty odd years, I visit old friends here and every single time I visit I notice just how Jam packed the car parking spots are and how busy the roads are getting but I still see no change in infrastructure! Such a shame! The town is ruined all to very very greedy people making money on once again ruining all the pretty towns in Victoria!
