Loved living In south Launceston up on the hill with fab views. It's a sunny safe suburb with period properties and a generally well heeled neighbourhood. Within walking distance to town and hospital. Public bus.
It has a local florist, butcher, dry cleaner and down the road in Kings Meadows and Prospect, gyms, post offices, food outlets, supermarkets, car wash, petrol station, dog grooming, churches, nature walks.
Recommended.

The views are great, but it's in the middle of bush fire hazard area. It's a small retirement village, somewhere people travel through to get to Coles bay or Bicheno or st Helens. Neighbouring Dolphin sands had a mega bush fire a few months ago which wiped out 19 homes. So get good insurance if you move there. I used to live there and the community is tight knit which isn't great if you are not from there. I got out.
