Pennant Hills

"Close to everything, and adjacent to Lane Cove National Park"

Lots of nice families with young kids. Very friendly neighbors. Lane Cove National Park and Pennant Hills Park are both readily accessible, so there are plenty of opportunities for tennis, bush walking, and mountain biking. It is only a 30 minute mountain bike ride through Lane Cove National Park to Macquarie University, Macquarie Park, and North Ryde via the Great North Walk. Also, the train now has direct access to the CBD via the Epping to Chatswood Rail Link. On the downside, as other reviewers have noted, Pennant Hills Road is often noisy with heavy traffic, which is why my overall rating is good and not excellent.

Albion St

"Close to everything, and adjacent to Lane Cove National Park"

Because it is a dead end street, there isn't much traffic. Lots of nice families with young kids. Very friendly neighbors. Lane Cove National Park and Pennant Hills Park are both readily accessible right at the end of the street, so there are plenty of opportunities for tennis, bush walking, and mountain biking. It is only a 30 minute mountain bike ride through Lane Cove National Park to Macquarie University, Macquarie Park, and North Ryde via the Great North Walk. Also, the train is only a five minute walk from Albion Street, and now has direct access to the CBD via the Epping to Chatswood Rail Link. On the downside, as other reviewers have noted, Pennant Hills road is often noisy with heavy traffic, which is why my overall rating is good and not excellent.
