Browns Plains

"Sharman"

I have lived here for the last 6 yrs and can say that nothing has been done to facilitate commuters with cars as there is no parking space available near Grand Plaza.Catching a bus from the plaza to the city is very easy but if there was enough parking space available i think more people will travel. Also there is an increase in the number of hoons that are targeting the neighbourhood these daysHave witnessed teenagers stelling from plaza kiosks, domestic violence, people with a drug kitchen being arrested and really stupid motorcycle riders who think that overtaking from the left hand side of a two way street is safe and legal.Had my car stolen and police never called back to say if they had found the culprits.
Browns plains has everything within the plaza and walking distance so thats a good side to it.There are parks for kids which dont have much but is alright for kids to run around. There are heaps of medical centres around the place and with two woolworths shopping is a breeze.
rent and house prices are cheap but due to road noise buying a house near the main road is a no no..from personal experience.Houses do not sell quick that are near the road.
Traffic jams in the morning on Mt lindasay highway is a common thing and it takes nearly and hr to reach Kessels rd.Nearest train station is Woodridge or Runcorn but cars are not safe there.

What streets do they hoon in Browns Plains?

AjinomotoC

In my experience the hooning is inescapable, Waller Rd, Green Rd, Vanstittart and any similar connecting road are the worst. Sirens, squealing tires and loud exhausts are your Thursday / Friday / Saturday night soundtrack and when it rains they'll be flattening signs, running through fences and generally wreaking havoc. My advice - avoid the main connecting roads, look for quieter courts and choose your neighbours wisely.

Been here 3 years. Grew up in sunnybank hills. I feel safer in browns plains then I did in sunnybank hills. Hooks are everywhere these days. People in my street have lived in browns plains 25yrs plus. Never been robbed. We won't stay here but we defiently won't be selling the house. 900sqm 30mins from the cbd. Good luck finding that in 20years.
