"Shopping facilities"

No big shopping centers. No Kmart/BigW/Bunnings. Far from most job hubs. I have no idea why this suburb ranked No. 1

"Suburbs of international students"

I lived 5 years in Clayton. Some people said the crime rate is high, especially near Monash Uni, but I never faced any problems there. Clayton is well known for Monash Uni and Monash Medical Centre, but most of its residents are international students. Old houses with small rooms and dirty gardens. I think Clayton is good for investors to build new townhouses and rent out, not for families.

"Poor access to public transport"

This suburb is quiet and family-friendly. However, if you need to use public transport, it is a nightmare. Also not many shopping facilities nearby

"Good start for FOB"

It is a quiet and family-friendly suburb. It is a bit far from any train station, and no big shopping center in the suburb. You can go to Dandenong Plaza or Waverley Garden for shopping. One of the safest suburbs in the city of Greater Dandenong. I think no train station and no big shopping center are the reason to make it safe. Good start for young families.
