Having grown up around the former tram line, Five Dock has a great village atmosphere. It is quickly becoming gentrified with a new cafe/deli opening every other week. Due to the abundance of parks and foreshore walks nearby, this is an area that is very popular with families. However with the average house price around a million dollars, it is becoming increasing affluent in comparison to its working class past.
