Morningside

"All Things Equal, A Great Affordable Suburb Close to CBD, and Gateway Motorways"

Close to CBD(less than 10 mins drive), 2 mins to Oxford St Bulimba, great train / bus services, increasing number of reasonably priced restaurants, lots of parks, and half the price of over-priced properties bordering Hawthorne, Balmoral & Bulimba (where one side of street is Morningside, & the other side of the street, one of these three suburbs in many streets). Definitely say the streets that run off Thymne Rd are more desirable than the other parts of Morningside around the Richmond Rd / Cannon Hill areas, but thats just an opinion. The only downside, as mentioned by others, is Morningside is right under the noisy flight path, and often planes are taking off right over the roof throughout the night 24/7. Why that is really necessary, & there isnt a noise curfew, I dont know. But all in all, Morningside is a well balanced suburb, which given proximity to CBD, merges with the prestiguous suburbs mentioned, and infrastructure, it will only be a matter of time in my view, that prices increase hugely.

Great for

  • 5km to CBD
  • Less than 1km in parts, to Oxford St Bulimba
  • Public Transport
  • Friendly neighbourhood
  • Green space and walking tracks

Not great for

  • 24 hour Aircraft noise

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Families with kids
