Lennox Head

"Gorgeous village, with great community feel"

Lennox is an amazing place to live, beautiful coast line, great weather and a sweet little village atmosphere still. I think it has a population of around 6,000 (including the village and surrounds). It is 20 minutes south of the bustling Byron Bay, and 15 minutes north of the growing hub of Ballina (great airport). Lennox does get busy in the school holidays, but it remains quiet and easy to get around for the rest of the year.
There are plenty surfing sports around Lennox including the Surfing Reserve at The Point. Lake Ainsworth is a beautiful tea tree lake that makes the ideal spot to picnic and swim with the kids. There is a great Catholic Primary school in Skennars Head (5 minutes South of Lennox) and a highly rated Catholic High School there as well (Xavier). Lennox Public school (Primary) is also well regarded.
The community in Lennox is one of the best things about the area. Lovely, welcoming people that love to support their playgroup, surf club, sporting teams and community events.
There are some great restaurants in Lennox including Opes and Quattro, as well as sweet shops like Seapoppies and Florentina Flowers.
We've raised 4 kids here and I really couldn't think of a better place to do it. We love living with a view of the ocean every day.
