Gympie is rapidly changing. Fabulous aquatic centre, waterfalls, walking trails and bike rides. The main town has had a makeover that looks great. It is also beginning to gain strength in tourism from the Gympie Muster, Heritage Steam Train, Rainbow Beach, Pumpkin Festival, and wonderful surrounding townships like Goomeri and Gunalda all worthy of a visit. It has first class schools and good shopping. Wonderful grassy hills similar to parts of the UK. New access to the Mary River is ideal for canoeing or swimming. One of the key attractions is the very reasonable price of realestate compared to Brisbane just under 2 hours away. Lots of retirees settling in the surrounding hinterland, building large homes. Certainly a friendly place with a real sense of community. Top marks.
