"A Suburb with History"
I grew up on Thor St during the '70s and '80s and have seen a lot of changes in the area. My parents still live there on their 1/4 acre block, one of the last remaining original residents. When they built in Innaloo it was an outer suburb of Perth and the land had only just been cleared. If you have a look at the street scape now you will be lucky to spot a tree as the high density living has forced the removal of the big old leafy trees. I can remember riding my bike along the freeway as a kid whilst it was being built. I remember when the corner that Bunnings is on was just bushland and when Odin rd was the only access out to Balcatta before the freway was built. We used to go to the drive in movies at Innaloo and eat at Hungry Jacks when it was the only HJ's in Perth - it was the first one in W.A.
Innaloo in a fantastic place to live but the City of Stirling needs to pull their finger out and solve some of the traffic problems now occurring in the area due to the rapid population rise and infastructure development. I don't even enjoy visting my parents because it is so difficult these days to get around the area with the huge number of vehicles and badly designed and controlled roads.

"Top End Rivervale - The best investment you will make."
An eclectic mixture of older dwellings on large allotments interspersed with modern homes on subdivided blocks. This area does have a large amount of state housing so care should be taken when choosing where to live or buy. The continuing development of newer dwellings is having a positive effect on the area and provides for a much improved street scape. Rivervale is fast becoming a sought after area due to its fantastic services and amenities coupled with it's close proximity to the city and bargain house prices. The River and all its attractions are only a short bike ride away and the Burswood Casino is also right on your doorstep. There is excellent access to major arterial roads and freeways making it a simple task to travel further afield. Overall Rivervale is a fantastic suburb for families and singles alike and is only going to improve as people realise the benifits of living close to the best capital city in Australia.
