Hornsby

"Low maintenance living and safe, clean, leafy"

A great place in general because of convenient cafes, jobs, healthcare, shopping and higher education. Hornsby will be even better when the Hornsby Quarry parklands are complete. A shame they didn't use the catchment as swimming spot. I know quarries are dangerous to swim in because they are deep and cold but they should have turned it into a shallow lake like Lake Parramatta.

Umina Beach

"Perfect for swimming and close to Australia's best capital city"

Umina is idyllic in its present state. The natural environment is as good as Queensland's Sunshine Coast . The only worry is the amount of existing houses that could fairly be considered knock down rebuilds. There's no elected council for the Gosford city area anymore without more community input into an elected council it is a worry what kind of developments will shape Umina.

"Attractive area well worth a look"

Quirky place full of stratas and cottages built for retirees also lovely waterfront reserve houses. Home to elderly and singles and happy families and those on Struggle St. Deepwater Plaza is busy every day however the general commercial area of Woy Woy is lacklustre due to commuters taking up the parking spots+ needs a late night alternative to Maccas and the pubs (teahouse, vegan?), would be viable considering the 30000+ population of the peninsula. The waterfront reserve rivals Centennial Park for public amenity. Locals are a bit apathetic about Council selling off parks and reserves. Humble Woy Woy is tending to diversify rather than gentrify.
