Doubleview

"For families who care about their children's developments"

Families moving to this area are the one who want the best academic and social environments to raise their children. We decided to move to South Doubleview because we want to send our children to Churchlands Senior High School. It is one of the top ranked public school with a great music program. It has great reputation of focusing not only the academic, but holistic development of its students. I heard from the parents that there children are very happy at school.

We picked South Doubleview out of all the suburbs in the Churchland SHS zone is because it has a few large open spaces/ parks/ playgrounds, it will be convenience for our children to join local sport clubs and socialize with others.

Doubleview is still affordable comparing to its expensive neighbors (Wembley Downs and Woodlands). We chose Doubleview over Scarborough is because Doubleview Primary school also has a much better reputation and academic results.

Great for

  • Great environment to raise kids
  • Educated, Polite & Friendly Neighbours
  • Lots of parks & open spaces

Shearn Crescent

"Beautiful & Quiet street connected Hale School & Bennett Park"

Shearn Crescent in South Doubleview is a beautiful and quiet street, situated near the border of Wembley Downs and Woodlands.

On the south side of the street is Hale School (an elite private school). The street is near the far corner of the school yard and is on the opposite side of the school front entrance, so we don't get much traffic & noise during school hours. However, given the street is within the school zone, the street has a 20mph speed limits. This makes the street very quiet and car safe for kids and pets.

On the north side of the street is Bennett Park (home to the Doubleview Bowling Club & Wests Scarborough Rugby Union). It is a huge park with a under-shaded children's playgroup. It is also a wonderful place to walk the dogs.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS:

BY CAR - The street has easy freeway access (via Williamstown Rd). It also has easy access to the Innaloo shopping centre and Stirling train station (via Ewen St). It takes around 15min drive to the CBD using freeway (20min without freeway). And it takes 5min drive to the Beach.

BY BIKE - Some part of Shearn Crescent is a cycling path. It is easy for the residents to cycle to the Beach, Schools, Jackadder Lake reserve, shops in Woodlands and Disbrey Park. It takes only 10-15 min to cycle to the Beach, Osborne Park business centre, Churchlands Senior High School and Innaloo Shopping Centre. It will take under 20min to cycle to Stirling Train Station.

BY BUS - There are 2 bus routes near Shearn Crescent, they are bus route 410 & 412. Both run between Stirling Station and Scarborough Beach.

Great for

  • 20mph Speed Limits (Quiet & Safe)
  • Access to Hale School & Bennett Park
  • Easy freeway access & public transportation
