We stumbled upon Pomona by accident and quickly realised we found gold!
The village has everything you need from shops, cafes, restaurants, newsagents, pubs, markets, post office, vet, pharmacy, dentist, a gin distillery, train station, petrol stations, Police station, SES, Ambulance and Fire station.
There is certainly a feel of community here with Pomona Pantry selling fresh local produce, local family mechanics business and more.
There are ample parks and an oval, even a good-sized dog leash free park with benches and exercise equipment staggered around. Then further from the village are hike, bike and horse trails, acreage homes and of course Mt Cooroora, the stunning mountain.
Access to Pomona can be from the Old Bruce Hwy, or via country roads that lead you to Noosa. For bigger shopping choices Cooroy, Gympie and Noosa are between 15 - 30 minutes' drive.
The locals are friendly, making newbies fit right in.
