"Gympie is an overpopulated city not a country town."
Gympie is currently overpopulated. Schools and daycare centres are full and 3 weeks wait to see a GP.
No carparking in the centre of the city. The roads are congested at all times of the day.
Tens of thousands have moved here over the last 2 years making it impossible to find rentals or for young people to afford to buy homes.
If you do want to build here, expect a 3 - 4 year wait.
The GP issue is qld wide and cannot only be attributed to Gympie. Car parking here is much easier than on the coast, Im not sure where you have lived before but looking for a park takes no more than 10 minutes at peak times. The roads will be clear by the end of the month when the highway bypasses the town. It certainly has had a huge growth spurt since Covid but I think that in general the new people and new ideas in town have been fabulous for businesss and town growth
how is the town no the bypass is open ? are there plans for a large more modern shopping centre ?
