"The hidden jewel of the DC region"

I live in Accokeek and love it here. I can't believe this place is not the hot spot to live in the C region. Only 20 minutes from DC and old town, yet it feels like your miles away. Small town atmosphere with all the benefits of the big city just minutes away. Its like living in one big park, and the Potomac is right next door. If you're moving to the DC area, Accokeek is the place to be. Only minutes from three military bases (Andrews, Bolling, and Indian Head), Accokeek has everything the big city has to offer, except the typical headaches.

Great for

Quiet and rural setting, but still close to DC
Plenty of shopping and social activities nearby
Low crime

Not great for

Rush hour traffic can be heavy
