I've been living in Lane Cove North for some 3 years now in Pinaroo Pl.
This part of town, including Merinda St etc is famous for their Government housing, which dilutes the atmosphere, though I still consider even this part of Lane Cove as super safe.
Yes we get noisy neighbours screaming sometimes, and old corollas and ninja motocicles passing by, but out of the places I stayed (Cremorne, Gladesville, Burns Bay Rd in Lane Cove, Russel Lea) this is the place where I am not moving out from.
There are many massive pluses here -- cheap swimming pool, brand new library, many public schools including the Catholic one, and of course, who can deny that -- LANE COVE PLAZA, which is being fixed up now. This is the place people get together, kids play, and families generally spend their time.
