Prairiewood

"A friendly, cosy and quiet locality with excellent neighbours and well kept homes"

Prairiewood is a small suburb located about 33 kilometres by road from the Sydney CBD, It forms part of the "Parks Estate", including other sought after localities such as Bossley Park, Wetherill Park and Abbotsbury. The homes in Prairiewood are very well kept and many dwellings have been occupied since their construction in the late 1970's/early 1980's. The homes in the area are treated with alot of pride and ancillary improvements to the majority of the homes present in pristine condition.

The suburb is home to a peacefully situated 18 hole golf course and a major shopping centre, Stockland, which includes a number of major retailers and a Hoyts Cinema Complex. This is adjoined by a large Hospital precinct along with substantial parkland. The suburb also includes the large "Fairfield Showground" site, which is home to a number of festivals throughout the year and 'Fairfield Markets' every Saturday.

Some homes in the area are quite extensive in size, and given the large original occupany of the European immigrants, particularly the Italians, the area features some quality homes constructed by owner builders in the construction trade. A number of houses were constructed of double brick, all on good sized allotments with plenty of yard space.

In summary, "Prestigious Prairiewood" is a friendly and well presented locality which is highly underrated value wise in my opinion.
