Loch Sport

"Unwelcoming community, unsupportive council, couldn’t leave soon enough."

Spent several years in Loch Sport before moving elsewhere, it’s a horrible town where the people will harass you until you do what they want and will gossip about you, even if you just keep to yourself, which is forbidden in Loch Sport, the less you speak to people the more they will harass you because you’re "weird" if you aren’t gossiping. People may seem friendly at first, but they aren’t, unless you’re a baby boomer. Council doesn’t support the town except in the tourist areas because the rowdy tourists are all they care about. Locals call the tourists "terrorists" despite tourism being the only thing to keep Loch Sport afloat. The locals are fine if you’re an aged pensioner, but are extremely rude to anyone under 60. It’s even impossible to collect your mail if you’re young because the post office employees will be too busy gossiping to find your mail, you’ll need to get someone over 60 to collect all your mail for you or get a P.O. Box in Sale. The local restaurants are very pricey considering the standard of food, the local supermarket isnt worth purchasing from, better off driving the 65km to Sale. Place is overrun with mosquitoes and sand flies, which the council doesn’t bother to spray until way too late, so if you live here you will contract Ross River Fever. The tourist season results in garbage and roadkill everywhere, which doesn’t get cleaned up for weeks or months. It’s known as God’s waiting room, which is accurate, but if only he’d hurry up and see them so they’d leave the town and maybe it could develop instead of remaining the small inbred town it is.
