Point Lonsdale Road

"Right by the sea, beach across the road and children's playground"

Point Lonsdale Road is our local shopping centre and meeting place. Our population is normally low during the week with visitors from nearby cities visiting to stay in their holiday homes. There are some tourists but we are slightly off the regular tourist route. Weekends can be busier and some locals complain they can't get a parking place. Coffee shops (4). Kelp is a restaurant and is very good - they have a market among the more well-heeled people. The other three coffee shops are quite different. Benitos is home to a bakery and tends to attract the oldies. Natural Food is a very good 'healthy food' lunch place. Excellent quality and variety. Lots of local Mums and kids The other is Pasquinis. Quite well known and for some reason customers even come back. The quixotic Owner has been known to abuse his customers; close the shop when he is too busy; give customers their money back when they complain (and he tells them never to come back). Underneath he is of course a pussy-cat and invites almost everyone to his famous birhtday parties.
Supermarket open 7 days 8 through 8. Views of the bay as you shop. A pharmacy (not open after 12 Sat in winter unfortunately) Recently a couple of gifty type shops have opened that have some more unusual merchandise. Pleasant place. Good facilities. Mild weather but a bit windy sometimes. Views of ships coming and going.
