Have recently moved here and after seeing the summer and xmas crowds in Byron Bay this is a quiet little slice of heaven with both bush and beach nearby. Am a single person and suburb seems to be mostly families, but it's a nice quiet change from Sydney and can recommend it for anyone looking for an alternative to crowded Byron Bay and a lot better than the Sunrise Drive side of town in my view. People seem really friendly (after Sydney that's not surprising) and there's probably what is the best bakery with the best coffee in Australia. The local pub isn't too bad either. And a nice beach at Tallows.
