hubby and I grew up in western suburbs and moved to Laverton 25 years ago from Yarraville as a young family where we bought our first home. Laverton carried a lot of stigma in the past as did most western suburbs although it was affordable to set roots and close enough to travel to everywhere we needed to access. I have loved seeing the positive changes and money invested over the past 15 years into this area. I have observed Hobsons Bay council to be proactive with creating new parks or rejuvenating older green spaces which are all regularly maintained. I love the bike paths connecting neighbouring suburbs. I don’t know many places in 2021 where you are 20km from city with excellent access to freeways and public transport, good shopping centre access, large house blocks, less than 10 mins to the beach and house prices are still affordable. Thanks I love Laverton, it’s been a great place to live and raise our children.
